PERSONALITY.ivor is a relatively passive sort of person. he's calm and collected in most situations--more so than the average teenager. having grown up in the slums of a backwater space colony, he had to learn to adapt to different situations in order to survive and doesn't like relying on others; usually, it means they want something ivor doesn't want to give. he makes friends easily but may seem difficult to approach if he isn't the one to initiate contact. smart, especially when it comes to forming plans, and tactically inclined. likes to observe others and his surroundings very thoroughly.
BRIEF HISTORY.born mute. it's important to note that ivor hardly remembers his parents. if they're still alive, he wouldn't expect them to look for him considering how he's grown up. technology (and charity) gave ivor the opportunity to communicate with others around him, and with the help of his comp band - a thin material worn around the wrist - he can access a pop-up screen for others to read. he is from a universe that doesn't care for the orphaned children as they are collected every so often to be shipped out to the siren quadrant where they are left to die, sacrificed to the beings that inhabit space and are just as mysterious as their name suggests.
ivor is one of these kids, but on their way out, he meets cae (sirenscarred) and plans an escape. unfortunately, it backfires, and they become lost in siren space.
forward to a few months into trying to survive siren space, and cae is swallowed up by the mythical sirens, infected in a strange way that neither of them know what to do with or how to stop. as the "disease" begins to manifest within him, cae decides to leave ivor to protect him, and thus, ivor spends three years bouncing between colonies and stations in search of his friend and escaping the people that come after him.
